Winner of The Pulitzer Prize says a lot about this book. Having read the first story, it is obvious to me that I am in for an extraordinary ride from a young and surprisingly multi-layered author...an old spirit!

I usually do NOT invest in "story" collections. These stories are mini-novels...each with it's own solid, stand-alone, uniqueness and memorability. I will probably hang on to this book for future visits...Ms. Lahiri is gifted with the ability to stir up the complete scenario when it comes to story telling. I began to look forward to the "next" story upon completion of each individual entree...expecting fully that she would deliver great charcters, intersting metaphor, and thoughtful story development.

This is a great bedside companion....just not long enough!
