I love books about food, restaurants, cuisine of all sorts and the cultures that accompany the front, and the "back" of the house food preparations. This book seems like an entertaining perspective for a food "junkie" like me. So, I really enjoyed this walk through higher profile restaurant culture. The somellier in me gets a humility check with books like this one...and I am also caused to recall that that the culture of a restaurant relies heavily on the good etiquette and sense of goodwill of it's patrons! Very entertaining.
